Poontang originated in Asian countries as a slang term for Sex, woman's Vagina.
Used heavily during VietNam war, by soldiers. Ex: GI want Poontang?

When I was a kid, we had a foolish sing-song that went "What's my name, Poontang, ask me again I'll tell you the same". I grew up in the south and am 56 years old, so it has been around for more than 50 years I'm sure.
