My pup is young and she sits on either side of her body. This morning I noticed that it took almost all her strangth to get herself up. It looked as if she was going to fall back down. why is this happening? Please help

Depending on the breed, your dog might have hip problems. Usually large breeds have this to contend with. Or, your pup may have self injured. Maybe your pup fell down some stairs and dislocated its hip or some other joint, or someone struck it too hard when it peep where it shouldn't have. Puppies are very fragile creatures. In housebreaking them, some people slap them around and rub their noses in what they have done and that's wrong. Just because an animal doesn't cry out in pain, doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt.
Take your animal to the vet as soon as possible. You never know, it might even have a bad case of worms that is causing your dog to have severe stomach pains. Think about it, haven't you ever had the stomach flu or cramps so bad that you double up in pain and have to sit down?

What breed of dog do you have? If it's a large breed dog, there could be bone or joint issues that need to be assessed by a vet ASAP. If it's a small breed, how active was she the past few days? She could have caused herself a sprain that also needs to be addressed. Did you get the dog from a breeder, petstore, or shelter? If you don't know where she comes from, it's hard to know if she has hip displaysia in her line. In any case, whenever a puppy doesn't act like a puppy, it requires a vet visit. Good luck

Take your pet to the vet and have them x-ray her.
It is possible that she has hip displaysia.
They have trouble standing and will favor one side if only on of the joints is affected.
I have a dog who has one side that is bad and he sits to one side.
He does not have trouble getting up. But he does not lift his leg very high to pee. And sometimes he just squats to pee.
Other than that he seems to be ok and does not need meds at this time.
Get your pet seen by the vet and find out for sure what is goin on.

I have a friend who had the EXACT same situation, it turned out that her dog had hip displacia. Yes, dogs get it too as well as many other health issue people think only humans have. Well I would def get this pup to the vet asap.

my girlfriends grandfather used to breed airdale terriers (medium-large dogs) and if they had have any inbreeding at all it can be a cause of hip displacia which is rated in 4 levels 4 being the worst the only way of telling if thats what it is would be to get the dogs hips X-rayed unfortunly it is not excatly cheap to ge done because most dogs need to be sedated to get the proper results because fo the way they need to lay to get it done, i have heard of cases where the dogs hips are SO bad they when he walks his hips make loud poping sounds. also with the way she sits my airdale (who has lvl 2 hip displacia) sits with her hip rolled to one side all the time which sounds like what you are saying
