Get involved in activities where you meet a lot of people. Always keep yourself clean and lightly cologned, make sure you have a good haircut, and wear the nicest clothes you can afford. Approach women with confidence. Ask them for their phone numbers and and call them. It is expected for the men to ask the women out, so take advantage of that and ask the women out.

"Make" a woman interested in you? Yes. There is prostitution and/or being a sugar daddy (See Anna Nicole's continuing saga of trying to get money from the estate of the oil tycoon she married (when he was at least 40-50 years older than she).
"Being" interesting to women is a lot more complicated (but less problematic legally and/or emotionally).
Some of the things I've noticed women find interesting in a man:
He dances
He sings
He writes
He laughs (at himself)
He dresses well (we're not talking Metrosexual)
He is polite
He gives his attention to everyone, even the ugly girlfriends or relatives...
He goes to church or follows their belief system (don't CONVERT to start dating, for pity's sake)
etc...

1st, you must be yourself!!! Be realistic with your choise of women. (Dont go out of your league). Be romantic, and use your imagine here, women will notice that. On a date, treat her as tho she were the most important thing in the world. Be sure that your hygene is... well, you must be socially acceptable. If you are not these things, then you should change your ways to attract a woman and give yourself a better chance at resolving your problem.

Don't know where you live, don't know what you are like .... but:
be sure you are happy in your work
buy yourself nice clothes
buy yourself good toiletries and
a good friendly barber is worth it ...
then: go out... go to dinner, to concerts, make friends... go to lectures at a museum.... or even take an art class ... take a good cooking class (ah HAH!... That rang bells!) .... make it possible for you to be friends at first ... to take off the strain...and make sure YOU are interested in what you are doing.. and : don't grieve.... you will be alright ....sometimes the right person is not ready to meet you yet.... but keep looking ...good luck!

If you are a nice kind decent responsible reasonable guy with a good job you should have no problem.
If you would consider a single mom who got burned with
her first relationship, you have a lot to choose from and a
woman who would appreciate a decent caring mate...

Become rich and famous. That's always very attractive! But if that's not likely - why not take up adult education in a subject that women would also be at - e.g. cooking?
