If you were a person in control of, say a country or territory way back in the early days, what do you think would be the easiest way to keep your subjects in line with out massive force spread everywhere. Keep in mind that the majority of your poulation is weakminded and uneducated?
That's right you make up a god and tell everyone he will smit those that do not obey. It's real easy make up some stories, carve up a few relics Tada you started a relegion to control others.
Your new god has a dual purpose you can also use it as an excuse to start wars with other countries just by saying they don't believe in the same things and must die for it. Hooray for God. When has fiction ever been so useful and fun.

.I'm a Christian, and I want to say YES, I believe that man has invented his own form of God. With our finite minds, we can't comprehend how God, with a spoken word, created billions of stars. How God is all powerful and all knowing. How God is all loving. With our finite minds, we can only describe Him in terms we know. In that way, God is the invention of man.
But the God of the universe is the Creator of all. All things were created through Him, by Him and for Him. He is the abstainer of all living things. And without Him, nothing was created.
Right now we have an image of what God is, our invented image of Him so to speak. But one day we will be with Him, and our eyes will be opened, and our minds will be able to comprehend our God.

What is the need of asking these type of foolish questions if you do not believe in God just shut up and if you want to see his miracles then why has man not been able to the planets they have explored except moon, if man would have created God then we humans should be living in all those planets. We cant find a cure of cancer up till now and you say that man created God

Man is very weak. Even as human being we cant control on death. Can you control on death . What happened in Sonami, in this modern technology we could not even know that its gonna happen. Dont think like that. There is GOD who is more powerful than anything and he created everything of this world and every thing. We are human beings with limited powers. We think these type of questions because we are away from our real christianity. We have many versions of bible which were published by greedy preachers under powerful rulers and kings of that time to use this religion for their own greedy needs. Wake up and read real bible which is available in hebrew language. Can you believe normal human can kill God. Jesus son of God, abviously God. Your son can human not tiger. so how a God can be so weak that people created by God can kill him in that brutal way. No no i dont believe in it. Read real bible and find real Jesus and christianity.
