Because less water is taken out of the urine when you have alcohol in your system. The reason you need to pee more when you're drinking is because your body wants those alcohol toxins out fast! So less time is taken to take the water out of your pee. In the morning when you're dehydrated it's beccause you passed a load of water you really needed the night before... Lesson over :)

Sandiemae is on the right track with her answer. While you are drinking alchohol you urinate more often and end up overworking the kidneys. After a night of drinking and not taking in water, your urine becomes concentrated. Try drinking more water while consuming alcohol or during the night afterwards. Alcohol does dehydrate you.

Its only clear because it is very dilute, normal urine is a pale yellow, dark yellow often means dehydration, and a very pale urine, often looking clear is due to the ingestion of lots of fluid, whether water or beer, which is 95% water anyway.

It has nothing to do with alcohol. It's all about water. When you drink (alcohol), you normally drink more fluid than normal. This dilutes your urine, so it's more clear. Overnight, your urine is more concentrated because you're not drinking anything overnight, so your urine is very yellow in the a.m. So it's all about fluid volume.

Sandiemaye is right. Its not about alcohol. When you're drunk, you've probably been slamming drink after drink, beer after beer. Your overall fluid intake is way up. Not much different than guzzling a gallon of water.

Dehydration....too much liquid passing through your body and your liver and kidneys are expelling it as fast as they can....they just happen to expell all the fluid from you body! Drink plenty of water either while you are drinking or right before you got to sleep after drinking....or just don't drink at all!!
