I guess in the same way that the "best" relgious people convinve others to joint heir faith. Gandhi said we should "be the change we wish to see in the world". By being the best example of humanity we can be, while still maintaining our points of view, we become an example of the "type" of person we are. This works either way, but is particularly useful when dealing with "Jesus freaks", because many extreme Christians are taught that non-Christians are immoral or even evil or pitiable. By presenting them with a rational, positive, humanity-embracing example of non-belivers, it gives them, at the very least, something they might not previously have been able to imagine or fathom, and might well start them questioning everything they've been told.

Friend, I hate to be the one to tell you, Jesus don't have any freaks, He has True born again believers, Yes he can have a deformed person also as a believer, That is only a freak of nature, but not of Jesus. The word Jesus Freaks goes back to the 1960's & 1970's & not back 2000 yrs ago.

Reverse your question, how do you convince an atheist of their ignorance without starting a war? That, as far as I'm concerned, is demonstrative of ignorance and lack of tolerance to different opinions. I'm reasonably sure if someone attempted to dictate belief to you that your next question would be regarding your right to believe as you wished. Live and let live, extend the same courtesy to others that you want given to you regardless of what they believe.

It's not that he/she is "ignorant."
The problem is generally that they think they've really latched onto something that brings them total joy in their life and they're just wild about sharing that with others.
And, of course, the rest of us - including those people who are spiritual, even "believers," whether or not they belong to a church - don't necessarily want to LISTEN to them rave on and on and on about how wonderful Jesus is.
And, they do have this annoying habit of denegrating other people's beliefs/religion with this catch phrase,"born again."
"Jesus freaks" aren't bad people; they just get a bit unbearable day after day.

I don't think anyone is giving you a good answer. They're just saying that christians don't listen to fact. I don't know where their reasoning is for that... but I won't start a tangent here.
as an athiest, or whatever you are, do you listen to christians talk about God? I'm guessing not. Christians tend to be even more set than athiests are in their beliefs. Sorry, but I don't think it's going to happen. Compare it to changing yourself.

You can't make anyone believe that they are wrong if their convictions are strong enough. Belief is too powerful a thing. I frequently have philisophical discussions with people whose world views are twisted and warped and they cannot see beyond their little world. But i will never convince them that they are wrong because once someone has something locked in his head that it is true, often the only way to get it out is to kill him.

I am actually writing an entire paper for my website on "how to debate a Christian" if you absolutely have to. It usually works better with face to face meetings...and you need to know the bible really well...and you also have to prove things like evolution to them. I have personally gotten at least 15 people to become atheists just by simply showing them the facts...it takes some work but it can be done.

Just ignore him...what the Freak believes is not your problem...and you do n't have to follow the teachings...if you try hard to re-examine what he is preaching...and you try again and again to convince him that he or she is wrong...then guess what ? soon or later intellectually you will fell in his trap. Fanatics are dangerous stay away from them!!!!

Please don't. We like to be fools for Christ. And even if you want to convince anyone of anything, remember that not even you know everything, and that a true believer would not start a war with you. Christ taught peace.
