I'm not sure about the cost but I do know it is a hassle to take a pet to another country. The airline will insists the dog may be quarranteed for up to 6 months prior to your flight.

Check with the airline for rules and fees--- some airlines will not accept pets at all except helper animals like seeing-eye dogs--- AND check with the Department of Customs in the Phillipines. When you transport an animal internationally, the destination country usually requires the animal to stay in quarantine for some length of time; some countries it is as long as 28 days. That helps keep foreign animals from bringing in diseases that the local animals may not be protected against. Even going from the continental US to Hawaii, there is a quarantine. You might find that the quarantine period is so long that it is not worth it.

Hi,

Depending on the country you´re heading to, there are diferent procedures.

In general, you´ll have to have all the dog papers (vaccinations. etc) in order. The airline will charge you per kilo (or pound) including the kennel.

I travel a lot with my labrador and sometimes my ticket is much cheaper than his!!!

Hope this helps

Why would you buy a dog and put it through such a traumatic experience? Besides there are as many dogs running wild in the Philippines as there are people. You can pick one up free as you're leaving the airport.
