I am a licensed nail technician and there is no magic food to eat or drink to make your nails grow fast. Your nails naturally grow slower in the winter and faster in the summer. OPI has an excellent nail hardener to help keep your nails from breaking while you are letting them grow.

the growth of the nail is influenced by nutrition ,health ,and disease. the average growth in a normal adult is about 1/8''per month, growing fasterin summer than winter. the nail grows faster on the middle finger and slowest on the thumb. damage to the cuticles will create slower growth and the nails will break or be thin. dry cuticles are bad also. keeping nail polish on all the time is also bad due to it not allowing the nail to breathe. thats why after you take off the polish the nails have a yellow coloring. always use clear coat before color coat. i have heard that eating jello gelatin helps them to be thicker. keeping your cuticles trimmed and moist always has worked for me in the past. start shaping the nails early in growth. always file your nails from the corners to the middle to help prevent slipping or breakage. there is manicuring lotion that you heat and massage your cutilces with. cuticle oil, creams that are mixtures of fat and waxes (lanolin, cocoa butter, bees wax etc. use a cuticle orangewood stick or cuticle nippers to keep them trimmed and pushed back.

Prenatal vitamins do tend to make most womens hair and nails grow at a faster rate. I took them and didn't see a difference. Maybe you need to actually be preggo.
Other than that I don't know. I would just suggest taking really good care of your nails now to build up strength so they don't break.

When you don't worry about your nails (from my opinion) they grow longer. But keeping them cleaned and using clear polish helps them to stay strong. Drinking milk helps to.

Hey. Believe me, this really works and i've tried. Rub garlic on your nails everyday (this may sound weird) and see how fast your nails grow!
