If you use Norton why do you use it?

The best antivirus software to use is McAfee. Maybe beacuse I am using it. It provides the essentials like antivirus, anti-spyware and firewall. It contains a wealth of features that include file backup and restoration, spam and email scam prevention, as well as providing children online protection. The software also monitors wired and wireless networks for potential security weaknesses and provides warnings about dubious websites.

McAfee hands down!!!
Why? 1. I've never had one problem with it.
2. They constantly and aggressively update the software and automatically download it to your computer on a regular basis.
3. You can be part of a global network that reports virus attacks, thus increasing communcation against viruses, and deterring and/or discouraging attacks on your computer.
4. They list recent virus outbreaks and let you know that you're updated and safe from any recent viruses.
5. User friendly. You install it and let it do what it does best, virtually forgetting that it's there. All you do is renew it annually, either by downloading it online or repurchasing a copy (that usually has a rebate offer as well). I prefer to just repurchase a copy from a store every year, it seems to be the easiest and least complicated way.
6. I thought of using Norton/Symantec (a close competitor), but there was story online recently that revealed a weakness in their software.
7. It works great with high speed internet, because when it automatically downloads something, it takes much less time. I think you can work with it though, if you a have slower connection, and don't want it interferring with your online work.

There are so many questions on here asking the same question, why don't you just do a search and read some of them?

I know because I've answered a few of them myself!

I prefer http://www.clamwin.com/ because it's free, open-source, and has an aggressive support group for the product.

I've had good success with http://www.free-av.com as well.
