She will probably get her stomach pumped....and she will have to drink this Black Charcoal liquid that prevents further absorption of the pills....She will also probably have to talk to some kind of Counselor or something. She probably damaged her liver pretty good which will affect her in the long run.
* just a little side note from someone who has worked in an Emergency room for almost 5 years now...tell her to stop craving attention. If she really wanted to die she would just do it

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) in overdose can seriously damage the liver. If the damage is severe, a liver transplant may be necessary to save a life.
My sister tried to commit suicide. She took a bunch of prescription medication and a lot of Tylenol. They weren't so worried about the prescription meds, the doctors were more concerned about the Tylenol and the damage she may have done to her liver. Luckily, she did not damage it. They did give her charcoal to induce vomiting and absorb the chemical she ingested. She was transferred to a mental health unit and then to an inpatient program. She is better now, but it took about 3 years of anti-depressant medications and psychologists.
Wishing you and your family good luck!

dpends on how soon after she took the pills that she was seen at the hospital... she could have to drink a charcoal drink that would absorb the tylenol... OR she could have her stomach "pumped" ie: medication that would make her throw up what is in there.. probably she'll get the charcoal "cocktail".. then placed in ICU possibly, to see how she is..Tylenol doesn't SOUND dangerous but it can kill you. Her liver could have been compromised by the overdose and I am sorry to say, they do not regenerate.(She will more than likely be seen by a psychiatrist also.)

Hey,they might have your cousin committed or something. If she don't show signs of improvement within herself. I hope that everything works out well with your cousin. He or she is just having a hard time right now. Try to be helpful and show lots of affection.

they'll pump her stomach - not apleasent experience - and probably admit her under a suicide watch - ty;enol isn't often deadly, but can be if you have kidney probs - or can lead to kidney prob down the line...
