I caught a fish recently which im not sure what it is?. It looks like some sort of carp but its white in colour apart from some black and grey marks arouned its head. The surface of it was smooth apart from some large scales which went from its tail to about half way along the length of its body similar to what a mirror carp has, it weighed about nine pouneds in total. Ive been told by one person it could be a Koi carp and by another that its a ghost carp?. Is it either of these or something else?.

It's definatly a koi carp I caught one similar lasy year in the summer and it was so beautiful. You should have a picture sent into Anglers Mail and I'm sure they would publish it... Well Done!!

i am pretty sure its a SHEEP HEAD. those are nasty fish that eat almost anything you use as bait.

you should report this to your dnr just in case it is some invasive speice's that is not supposed to be there. they will also be able to tell you what it is.
