Try putting hairspray in it and blowdrying it. Hairspray soaks up oils because the alcohol in it. Also you can put a little baby powder on your roots that are exposed to soak up some of the oil.
You might also just pick up a dry shampoo to apply during the day.
You're not a scum or a liar. Anyone who says differently is ignorant and has some self esteem issues. ;)
Lots of people have asked me about this before and they usually find that one of these works.
Hope one works for you!

The other advice given is exactly what I'd recommend (the conditioner not on the roots and the baby powder) but I'd add that you shouldn't touch your hair a lot during the day- when I run my fingers through my hair too often or play with it a lot, it gets greasier MUCH MUCH faster.

And the person that called you scum is obviously very, very sad.

I recomend this to alot of people.

Its called sunsilk. Alot exspensive but only 3-4 dollars it helps so many people I know. Also put your hair in a pony tail or clip it looks alot better than just having your hair down most of the time.

Use a shampoo that doesnt hydrate or moisturize. You don't need any extra moisturizers. Also condition only the ends, skip conditioner if you can.
