I really want to work on saving our earth from global warming, but I don't know exactly what to do. What can "I" do as a normal human being to be a part of this fighting against global warming thing besides tell others about this and let them be aware of this? Lastly I'd appreciate it if there's no angry or rude answers about this or I just may report you. Thank you.

Its debatable whether humans are influencing global warming. Every 11,500 years, the earth goes through a major extinction with a global warming and cooling phase (ice age.) Paleontologists are able to track this through soil samples. We may actually be headed into an ice age because we are coming to the tail end of the current cycle. The problem is that the media and politicians get focussed on a piece of the puzzle and try to simplify this issue. Don't be fooled. There is probably nothing humans can do. Even if we could, there is no way you can control China who is becoming a major world polluter. Humans will need to adapt to climate change. Where I live there are small changes in our weather pattern, but nothing major. A lot of the media is hype to sell newspapers. The only caution is that some past climate changes have been more radical, swinging wildly from hot to cold. Others have brought on instant and severe cold conditions. I know the area that I live used to be buried in hundreds on feet of ice, but temperatures are mild today... Humans will just need to wait and see what mother nature brings and adapt as necessary.

Sadly, whatever you do is going to be useless. There are two possibilities:

1)Global warming is a natural phenomenon, and humans have no effect.

B) Global warming is caused by humans, and the vast majority of humans don't care and will do nothing to stop it.

Consider: over half of new vehicles sold in the US are SUVs, because people want to be sure they kill whoever they hit. It's an arms race of gass-guzzling murder-mobiles, and "my percieved safety is more important than anything" is the American attitude.

The really disgusting part is that SUVs are not just more dangerous for th epeople they hit, they are more dangerous for the people who drive them. But yuppie soccer moms FEEL safer, so they merrily destroy the environment while they make themselves and everyone else LESS safe.

But despite the fact that America produces fully a quarter of the world's greenhouse gases, while having only a twentieth of the world's population, even Americans can't stop global warming.

India and China alone have over a third of the world's people. Those people are rapidly joining the modern industrial world, and consuming as much energy as they need to, and producing more pollution than Americans or Europeans, to achieve the lifestyle that the West has.

Long story short: whatever you do, there are a thousand people doing just the opposite that make your puny efforts useless.

What you should really be doing is buying as much land as you can in as moderate a climate as possible, and hope that you can survive there when it all goes very wrong. I have 16 acres, and will buy more as I can afford to.

Meanwhile, you might as well live it up. Nothing you can do will help, so enjoy the good life while it lasts.

The Archdruid Report (http://thearchdruidreport.blogspot.com/) had some really good suggestions. To shorten it (with my own notes)...

1. Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact flourescents (Your pocket book will enjoy the lower energy bill, too.)

2. Retrofit your home for energy conservation (Again, lower energy bills, too.)

3. Cut back on your gasoline consumption (walk, bike, public transport, share rides)

4. Plant an organic vegetable garden (most farms today use fertilizers made from fossil fuels, and most food travels over 1000 miles to get to your table...and backyard veggies and fruit taste better, too!). You can also indoor garden in pots if you lack the outdoor space.

5. Compost your food waste (or feed it to your pet...dogs will eat vegetables, too.)

The principals of reduce (reducing consumption), reuse (shopping consignment or garage sales), and recycle also come into major play. For further ideas, you can study Permaculture, Homesteading, and Self-Sufficiency or Survivalist Websites and books. For Homesteading/self sufficiency in an urban setting, you can get inspiration from these folks: http://www.pathtofreedom.com/

China has already crippled itself with the full one infant coverage. not basically did they make a huge gender inbalance for his or her inhabitants, so as that many adult adult males won't be able to discover a bride, yet they now have a challenge with the elderly. The are commencing to have greater elderly than they have young toddlers. This reasons a challenge in that the chinese language economic equipment might have a huge subject holding the elderly, with the production of the young toddlers. it incredibly is probably going considered one of the justifications that they've been procuring up American debt so immediately. To them, this acts as coverage for whilst their production would not meet the elect of their elderly inhabitants. At this factor they are going to be seeking to usa to supplement that elect. Its incredibly not a bad plan given how lots food usa can produce. a greater robust approach is only with the aid of guidance and making contraceptives available. presently the US might have a reasonably unfavourable inhabitants strengthen if it weren't for immigrants. We have been given this form with the aid of basically guidance and availability, plus an economic equipment that necessitates that the two the guy and female artwork. a reasonably unfavourable strengthen won't cripple the economic equipment, yet a huge unfavourable strengthen will decimate the economic equipment. The mathusian logic basically works so far. As necessity is the mum of invention, we can start to strengthen recommendations on the thank you to farm greater effectively, and purify water from the sea which will resolve the numerous problems of inhabitants strengthen until we attain the subsequent plateau brought about with the aid of loss of materials. no remember in case you think in malthusean logic or not, the effects of coaching the inhabitants have in no way been something yet good.

The least we can do is to carry out the 3R's-Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Then perhaps, you can encourage your friends and family to do likewise. Start small. Then, move on to greater causes.

There should be more people like you whom I call "earth-friendly" people. Haha.

Good luck :)
