It is probably the windshield but a door molding will do the same thing. Get the carpet dry and then pull it back from the floor and firewall so you can see the floor pan roll up the windows and then have some one spray the top of the car with a garden hose while you are inside with a flashlight. If its a bad leak you will be able to see where your problem is hopefully. Also clean out any debris down by the wipers, leafs and sticks pine needles this stuff will redirect water to unwanted places.

This is usually a problem with the window to frame seal. You would have to either have a new windshield installed or get them to guck it up with a sealer material where the leak is found. These also could be a problem with the HVAC drain. This is a water spout that directs water that condenses out of the AC system and is drained out through the firewall. Clean it out if this is the case.

The drain to the fresh air intake (those slots at the base of your window shield) is clogged causing water to flow down into the heater core box, and drip into the cars interior. Remove the grating at the base of the window shield ( where the wipers are connected). You may also have to remove both wiper arms from their drive shafts. With a vacuum clean all the debris you can see out. Use a flashlight to assist you. Once you have gotten every thing you can with the vacuum, run some water into the space. You may have to use a piece of wire to poke into the small drain hole to clear it out. You will find this hole at the low point (where the water lays). Reassemble and you should be good to go!

You need a new windshield seal. Find a reputable shop that has been in business for several years and will warranty their work. It shouldn't be more than $100 if you don't need to replace the windshield. If you do have chips or cracks, though, this is the time for the new glass.
