My ex-boyfriend wants to spend a lot of time with me but it is breaking my heart because I know he will never love me the way I love him. It is hard for me to cut him out of my life because I do love him and would miss him, but knowing we will never have the relationship I want is killing me.

As a guy I've been the one that wanted to be a part of my ex's life. You have to ask yourself though, is it worth it? I know that the thought of her being with someone else drove me insane. That's a friendship that's bound to end badly at some point in my opinion. It's hard, and it sucks not being with them, but if you know it's not going to work out the way you want, then it's best in the long run to walk away.

it never works, it all depends also on way you broke up???? I have one ex that i am still friends with, the break up for us was mutual, SO if it hurts now and you want to be friends look how hurt you will be when he dates somone else. Let it go tell him no, and why you cant.
