I'm 40 and have had nothing but bad relationships and just basically gave up on women. But, I am starting to worry a bit about this. I may have a chance in a week or so but I'm not even sure I want to get into a relationship....

You should definately try to have another relationship. Unfortunately bad relationships is part of life, most of us have atleast one or more, but its no reason to give up unless you are happier being alone but thats your call.
I'm not sure how U managed without sex for four years, I'd go nuts just after a week. I wouldn't call it strange, I would call it remarkable.

Well, I really don't have enough info. But, I will try my best. It sounds like you need to focus on yourself. You need to do things that make you happy. I wouldn't worry about a relationship right now. It seems to me that you need a break from the dating scene. Do something you wouldn't normally do! I think once you do that. The right woman will be there waiting for you. Good luck!

its normal. some people just give up after awhile. i would try again........at least go out on a date once in a while. Just make sure they know you do not want a relationship.
