Is it better to put liquid medications in a checked bag or in the carry on bag? I read on the TSA Gov website that they must be declared to an officer at the checkpoint: should I declare them also if they are in my checked bag?
Also, are there restrictions about fitotherapy or omeophatic medications?

If you take any prescribed (not over-the-counter) LIQUID medication in your carry-on, as long as it is in a clearly labeled container from a pharmacy with your name on it, then it needs to be declared to the security folks. It can be any size (doesn't have to be 3 oz. or less). Although the TSA says you must take your prescription pills in their original labeled container in your carry, I never do because the bottles are huge and I only need a small amount with me - I've never, ever been questioned.

All other liquids in your carry-on that are not prescribed by a "regular" doctor (which might pertain to the fitotherapy and homeophatic meds) must be in a container no larger than 3 ozs. (you can't pour out half of a 6 oz. container either) and these bottles put into a quart-sized ziploc baggie.

I think the best solution is to pack all medications in your checked luggage. Nothing needs to be declared in your checked bags. Just pack it carefully so it doesn't break.

When in doubt, pack it and don't worry. Have a nice trip!
