I just started dating a guy about a month ago and I think he's married :( I've asked him and of course he said no, but things just don't add up. He's really jumpy when the phone rings he runs outside and if I come into the room he hangs it up really quick- and when I do ask him if he is married he gets very skiddish.
Do you guys know of any public records that show marriages, divorces etc. I have to know if he is or not, because I really like him but I can't continue seeing him if he is married.

Also, I looked on some sites for public records and I can't seem to come up with anything. They only have like 6 states you can chose from.

You can do a public records search, but it's usually gonna cost you. The other suggestions about going to city hall or the courthouse are based on the assumption he was married/divorced in your city or county--that's a pretty broad assumption.
Whether he's married or not, he's hiding something. I'd confront him directly about his sneakiness. If you aren't satisfied with his answer, I'd dump him

First of all, if there's no honesty in the relationship, there is no point at all. If you think he is really worth it and you really like him, you can ask a friend to follow him around and see where he is staying. But if he is truthful, just imagine how he would feel if he finds out about this.
If he is really married, he would want to go out with you for only one reason, sex! So, dont give in to him. If he likes you for you and you alone, he will definately not be married yet and will be patient with you.

If you think he's married, he most likely is. If you know what city or county he would have been married or divorced in, you can look up the county records online. It takes some digging, and it's a wild goose chase if you don't know his full name or where he would have been married or divorced.
Trust your gut. You don't need the heartache. (I'm speaking from experience, unfortunately.)

You can normally go to your counties web page and they have a list of all marriages there. Just b/c he's skiddish doesn't mena hes married. Maybe hes seperated or divorced and just doesn't want to talk about it. or maybe ha has a nother girlfriend..or maybe he thinks you want to marry him and thats why you ask him...who knows what goes on in there heads...
OH- and following him around is considered stalking unless you are a Private Investigator...so..unless you want to get arrested...

i have a gut feeling he aint married but i do think he has a girlfriend though!!!!! i'd be careful there matey!
there are records - go to your local town hall - they will know - or you could try electoral register (192.com) to see if his name comes up - if i does you will see who is registered to his home!!! even if it is a past thing - it will still show up - then you can confront him - or not! best of luck mate

Move on and find someone you can trust. If you don't trust him now, then you won't trust him later. There are plenty of other guys out there. You just need to know where to look.

well in my opinion, if hes not married, then he is either cheating, or he's gay!
either way, if he is that jumpy, then he's definately hiding something from you!
