Consult a (mental health) therapist or a psychiatrist. The physical exercises your doing are good, but if you feel anxious and depressed, something about your life may really be bothering you that you're not even consciously aware of.

Have you been properly diagnosed that you have an anxiety and depression? OR, do you THINK you have those illnesses?

Anxiety and Depressions are mental illnesses. The feelings you have are just the symptoms of those illnesses. As such, you cannot cure them by positive thinking or other methods. The best you can do is lessen the symptoms. (and where does physical therapy fit in?)

You should start with a family medical doctor to rule out the other medical conditions where symptoms can be very similar. Then see a psychologist. If that doesn't work, try psychiatrist.

Good luck, but quit fooling around. It is an ILLNESS. You must have proper diagnosis and treatment.

It can be as simple as telling the right mental health professional how you feel. Your physical activity level sounds great keep it up. But the meds to relieve anxiety and help with depression are so easily available and there is no shame in them....no more so than taking a Tylenol for a head ache. They do not have to be permanent and sometimes we can't just pull ourselves up alone, no shame in that either. The only shame would be wasting time struggling with it, get a Lil professional help to compliment the wonderful physical work. Be well.

You could try meditation with a good teacher... just relax, let the world go, and for that time be peaceful, happy and free of it all....after you meditate, see how long you can stay in that condition... each time, the good feelings will last longer and longer and eventually become a good habit..

Make sure you tell your doctor first of all. The medication you are taking could be a problem and he may be able to prescribe something different. Prayer, journaling and a cup of sleepytime or chamomile tea also worked for me.

Journaling, reading (if it calms you), talking (to anyone), laughing.
