Well do you get mad when Christians hand out stuff? I think people have a right to propagate their faith, even if it displeases some people... Freedom comes with a burden - you have to be willing to let others exercise their rights when you do not fully agree or support it. That doesn't mean you have to love what they are doing, you can still disagree whole-heartedly with it, and so long as you do not cause any harm against them, you can be as angry as you want.

I would be saddened if that happened of course, being Christian, because it would show the direction people's lives are taking. The thing is with that though, is that Atheists don't believe in God. Taking that position, on passing out flyers promoting contrary ideas to religion would be kind of taking a stand on religion, being against religion, showing why it's wrong. Through expressing there opinion, they are taking a stand and defending that stand, which is against God in general. That's what would make me feel bad; I'd feel bad for them.
If they want to do that I wouldn't stand in their way because we are in America and the first amendment applies just as much to non-Christians than it does to Christians. As long as they do it at a respectable distance from churches; targeting churches, even though J-witnesses target homes, would show religious profiling, a sign of a judgmental mentality, and offensive. There would be a respectable way to do it and I think that that respect would not be given if Atheists handed out flyers and such - not among everyone of course, but there would be a few fanatics that make the situation complicated and offensive, such as there are some in the religious world that are offensive at times and may step on people's toes.
Either way, I wouldn't be completely opposed to the idea, at first anyways. It is circumstantial and depends on how they go about doing it.

As a Christian, I would not get mad, If a True Christian can only see that it is God himself, & I know many says the Holy Ghost, God & the Holy Ghost is the same spirit. It is God himself that does the convicting, why should we Christains be upset, All that the Father HATH(Past tense)given me, will come unto me & I(Jesus) lose none of them. If I see in a waiting room any other beliefs, I don't throw it away, I just leave it there,

I dated a pagan for roughly a 365 days and he or she married one among my great friends. i do not robotically assume all pagans are gonna try this even inspite of the indisputable fact that lol. a lifeless ringer for i does not assume an atheist and myself (Christian) might want to not make it. i'm now not particular how lengthy it would want to very last. i does not force my faith on anybody Ever! it truly is incorrect. i might want to discuss it. yet easily not force it. might want to bypass the full approach? Get married and characteristic little ones? i do not comprehend how the childrens might want to finally end up even inspite of the indisputable fact that lol. Atheist + Christian = Agnostic? I did that on my punnett oblong and it style of feels that 25% danger to be both atheist or Christian and 50% for Agnostic.

Wouldn't bother me. The Jehova's Witnesses come to our door sometimes, we are polite and take their little booklets. They don't hurt me, I don't insult them, or their beliefs. If an Athiest gave me a booklet, I do the same thing. Only common curtesy.

Richard Dawkins is the most outspoken atheist "evangelical" and they hate him with a vengeance. Christians think they have a right to pro-actively sell their beliefs but they would condemn others for doing the same.

No, I'd toss them in the trash, just like you do. Oh, wait! You people usually just throw them on the ground. So much for environmental awareness. Hypocrites!

Me personally? No, I wouldn't get mad, unless the Atheists tried to push it on me. Anyone who wants to give out literature is welcome to, as long as it's legal to do so.
