Men: How do you feel about tall women?

I'm about 5'9 or 5'10. I've always wondered what men thought, in general, of tall women.

Personally, when I'm looming over a shorter man, it makes me feel a little too masculine, which I hate!(I am absolutley not masculine!)When I was younger, I was very uncomfortable with my height. By now I've accepted it, although I would still rather be shorter.

What do you think?

When you say that you would still rather be shorter, you really haven't accepted it. The concern about whether your partner is taller/shorter is worrying more about what other people might think than whether the guy is someone that has the qualities that would cause you to fall in love with him.

Since we've tended to associate BIG things with men in the past (like height, weight, muscles), it's a good thing that you can find more men willing to be in a relationship with woman who is taller than they.

How much taller may be problematic: I'm fairly tall and I wouldn't feel that great being with a woman more than 5 inches taller than I am, personally, but a few inches would be ok.

On the other hand, I think I've understood that some cultures are more approving of women taller than their mates.

Like most things in a relationship, I have a feeling you'll learn about whether a guy is comfortable or not with that early on. I would tend to believe a secure, self-confident man who doesn't allow other people's talk or standards to be his measuring stick (no pun intended) would be fine.

Glory be, Amanda. You should be extremely happy that you have a gift most women want. You are always the center of attention when you walk into a room. Tall women are wonderful.....

But you do have a responsibility to maintain PERFECT POSTURE at all times. The worst thing ever is to see a tall woman with bad posture. And here are a few other tips I suggest to you:

1. Groom immaculately
2. Dress nicely
3. Study or work harder than ever
4. Spend an hour a day in the library
5. Spend an hour a day at the gym
6. Honor your parents
7. Get involved in a worthy function
8. Volunteer a few hours a week for a worthy cause
9. Help someone every day
10.Go to Church
11.Invite your friends to Church
12.Take group dance lessons

I tend to like women shorter than myself, although it's not really an active choice... I'm not -that- tall, but most women are shorter than I am. I have been with one woman taller than I was, and it didn't "bother" me in the slightest - she had very lovely long legs.

And I do like long legs sometimes, I must confess. *g*

But it's always been more a case, for me, of eyes and smiles (and I think when men stop being macho, most of them will say it's either one of those two that catches attention first [aside breasts, which, well, they protrude, you know?]).

So I don't really care how tall she is, how slim she is, or whether she has eight horns on each shoulder; if her smile lights up the room, I'll be intrigued.

I have no idea if that was helpful at all. Hope so.

You have a wonderful height and don't think you are too tall. Nowadays, people are taller than back in the days. I personally believe it really doesn't matter how short or tall you are. There is much more to look for than height.

A mini skirt and boots look so much better on a woman with long legs. Wow...

I love um all! I'm a short guy (5'6) but have always admired pretty tall women. But I also like short pretty women. If a tall woman is with me, I don't feel less masculine and I don't feel that she's less feminine. In fact, I think a taller woman looks beautifully powerful giving herself to a shorter man. Shows that she is confident in herself.

If healthy and not over weight, tall women are naturally beautiful. The athletic ones are the most stunning...look at Gabby!

I love taller woman, its all how you percieve yourself, be confident and all will be fine. Nothing we can do about it. I have dated several taller women and we had lots of fun, the height never was an issue.

i think its just that u've been hanging around short men because i'm 5'11 and i'm usually short around people but men really love tall women because its one of the super model quailities and you are lucky enough to have that, small women are cute but the gorgeous oens are always the tall ones...
