Maybe we are going to build up the amount of troops in Iraq to invade Iran, is this possible? I have read in the papers in the last week that some more ships are headed for the gulf. Is this also part of it?

The "surge" is mighty small - they'd need several tens of thousands more to invade Iran, so no, I don't think so. BUT, I don't put that sort of thinking past the sort of minds in this White House.

To the first answerer - how is this questioner against the soldiers? Start reading books - even if it's Tom Clancy novels, I don't care - just something to get you actually using your brain would be a start. Analyzing POLICIES and supporting SOLDIERS in the field are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS... DO YA GET IT?!?!

I know I'm concerned about the possibility to expand this war into Iran. I hope that saner military minds prevail if the President would order an expansion of the war. The war was won in about a month. Bush and Co. has bungled the occupation of Iraq.

The reports I have read talk of only an increase of 9,000 - 25,000 new troops. I would hope our President has learned something about invading another country with insufficient troop numbers. Of course, that is asking a lot. One can only hope the answer is no.

it is trouble-free to sit down down on your comfortable chair, on your air-conditioned place, in front of your computer, and bash the troops and the determination-makers. every time you have a warfare you have gotten casualties. I lost a brother interior the Pentagon and pal in Afghanistan. you have the marvelous to dissent and disagree, and to diss the President. yet that would not make you something greater beneficial than an fool, crammed with sound and fury, signifying not something. thank you for the two factors, ignoramus.
