The Egyptian Book of the Dead, some four thousand years old, is just the same today as it was then--word-for-word. If accuracy in transmission over the centuries is your criterion for truth, there are plenty of books much older than the Quran, so by your own criterion, they must be the results of miracles and proof their own truth.
The Gilgamesh Epic, written in ancient cunieform is older even than the Torah of the Jews. But the Gilgamesh Epic is just a story trying to explain why we are all here. So, it must be truer, using your criterion, than even the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
We have complete texts of many, many, many books far older than the Quran: Think of the Greek philosophers, for example. Think of the ancient Roman authors. Goodness sakes, think of the Illiad and the Odyssey. Much much older.
So, bottom line here is the accuracy in the handing-down of any book over many centuries proves only that the book was respected enough to be recopied accurately.

By no means is it proof of truth, or a miracle.
You say that it's the same now as it was 1400 years ago. Ok. Obviously, if you have very early versions of the book in it's original language, then you have something to go off of.
But then what happens when you translate that book? They are never exact. Some words simply don't translate well, and the older that a translation gets, the more open it is to questions in the translation.
You might say, "Well, I'm not talking about translations."
And that's fine. The original greek translations of the bible remain the same now as they were upon their discovery. There by invalidating your point.

please ignore the ignorant answers above. i am very glad that you are of the few (on this sight) who seeks true answers. it is a miracle but not the only miracle in Islam. if you should study it further you will find yourself with many more. but it hasnt changed and it the Quraan it does say that God's words cannot be changed. the bible we believe is not God's words as it is mostly the words of Jesus who although is believed by Christians to be God, not by us. (ignoring the 10 commandments of course because they were the word of God and have not been chnaged). In the Qur'aan there are many miracles because it has scientific facts which only in this day and age have been proven. im sorry i cannot give you a sight but im sure my other brothers and sisters wll be able to do that for you. Peace be upon you and i do hope you learn more.

Some say the Old Testament is the same as it was 20 centuries ago as evidenced by the Dead Sea Scrolls. What's the point?

Any book written fourteen hundred years ago will be word for the word the same as it was thereby proving nothing at all.

It may be word for word, but 14 centuries ago it still was not Truth, & it is not today.

No miracle. People very seldom read it so changes aren't made. The Bible is read by scholars who make small corrections to be sure it conforms to the original language.
