Hmm, this is a tough question. It depends. It could be that your friends are looking out for you and don't think this guy is a good match for you. Maybe they think he'll hurt you in some way. It could also be that they're jealous or something. You have to figure out which one it is. If it's the first one, you should probably listen to them. They just want to help you. But if you know for a fact that this guy is good, than you should just go out with him. If they're really your friends, they'll understand. And if not, well too bad. They don't deserve to be friends with you.

Boys come and go, but friends are hard to come by. Friends are lasting relationships that can last a lifetime. And...friends have a way of knowing and seeing things that you don't see when you have a crush on someone. Trust your friends instincts and judgments. They can and will protect you if they really are your friends. Unless you think this boy could be "the one" for marriage, and your willing to lose your friends, stay away from him.

Unless you're planning on spending your life with this boy, don't pursue him. You've built your friendship with them over the years and their value to you should GREATLY exceed that of a good-looking boy.

On the other hand, maybe you SHOULD pursue him. After all, if they're really your friends, wouldn't they want to support you in your dating endeavors?

Quite the conundrum.

It's really a complicated situation: lose the boy you like or lose your friends. I guess you've gotta figure out which one you value more, and then stick with your choice.

Why will your friends stop talking to you? Is he involved with something illegal or imoral? If he's a good guy but not popular and therefore you friends don't want you to see him, you don't have very good friends. Make a list of pro's and con's about him and decide for yourself.

You should tell your friends if they dont like this boy, they might not be true friends. But,on the other hand, they might see something that you dont see.Just ask them why they dont like him ,and why would they be mad if you went out with him. And,just to let you know this, boys come and go,but friends will last forever.

ask the boy out in secret and have this little thing until someone finds out and it turns into a spiral of rumours, lies, teasing, trauma and ultimate doom via suicide.

or just ignore me it's what most people seem to do

Friends should be supportive. If they are really your good friends, and they dont want you to go with him, there must be a good reason for it. Try to discuss, maybe all they are thinking of is for your own good. If it is due to jealousy or whatever, maybe they dont deserve to be your friends after all!

There will be more friends and more boys... which one do you want more??... you can live without boys... and why dont your friends like him??.. if he is rude to you or them.. then DONT GO OUT WITH HIM!!!!.. if they just dont like them just to not like him.. then your FRIENDS are NOT WORTH IT!
