Mark..I would seriously think about asking some professional at the CAB you can find their link on yahoo easily or on www.upmystreet.com. Also you may find that there is a wealth of information on the link below. I am currently following their proceedure to claim back all the overdraft fee's I was charged over the last 6 years by our bank and the forum is FULL of useful stuff ....I am sure you could either contact them or post to the forum and get a wealth of good advice there as it is dedicated to getting your money back or sorting out financial problems. I personally think there should be a cut off time limit but then again you are in their system...and sometimes by respondingyou are keeping the 'system' going...I had that happen when I got threats to collect on my dead mothers estate and they put me down as the contact so I became in their system, liable for the debt! The fact that I kept contacting them made me STAY in the system and generate another letter!! ..Good luck matey!

Because they dread you going bankrupt or insolvent depending where you come from. Go to your local council debt adviser and get Income and Expenditure statement. Your priority debts are rent, council tax, TV licence etc. You can be jailed for non payment of these. Your £100 is a non priority debt. They do this to me all the time, they sell your debt to a collection agency. Who then threaten you. I am due over £10,000 to my bank etc. Have had 100's of threatening letters from their various collection agencies. I just send them to my council debt adviser. He sends them my I&E statment and says I can't afford to pay. Eventually they will give up. Best ragards alan...

Because a small claims court is likely to throw it out.It costs debt agencies a small fortune to take you to a court.keep up not paying . It will pay off eventually.

If you've taken this dispute to court, I guess they consider it still in litigation. This usually holds off any final measures taken against you.
