You can tell she "wants" puppies? I'm sorry, but that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. 6 years old is too old for a dog to be having her first litter anyway. You would know that if you knew anything about dog breeding, so I'm assuming you are just another pet owner who thinks their dog is so wonderful they think they should breed them. DON'T! Shelters are full of dogs someone was sure needed to be brought into this world.

You could use whatever dry food you're feeding now, just switch to the "light" or calorie reduced. Don't feed your dog any human food for snacks, either (no matter how hard that might be!). And exercise is important, just be careful not to over-do in the beginning. Your dog's stamina needs to be built up just like a person's.

The best food is Nutro Natural Choice Lite in small bites. It has no byproducts, no ground corn, and the highest level of linoleic acid for skin and coat of any dog food.
