body weight will only be maintained by adding muscle when fat is burned away. After all, you cant take away one thing and have the same amount/weight, unless you replace it with something else. So far as what is required to keep the body in fat burning stages through the day... Eat more meals, but in smaller portions, this will keep the body from entering starvation mode through the day. If there is a lag in the day where you are doing a bit of sitting, take a ten minute break and hit the stairs in the building. Also, body heat has a lot to do with it. Keep yourself warmer and your metabolism will be target on cooling you and burning fat at the same time. Also, you muscles will retain more elasticity if you keep them warm through the day.
In short, dont rely on big blocks of working on things through the day, do everything in short bursts and you will keep your body cruising to that goal!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

In order to burn fat and maintain the same body weight, you have burn fat and build muscle.
Now, muscle weighs more than fat (about a 2-1 ratio), this just means, for every 2 cubed inches of fat you lose, you need to build 1 cubed inch of muscle to maintain the the same weight.
You should do a combination of cardio and weight lifting. Cardio is simple (running, walking, etc). Now for the weight training, you need small amounts of weight, lifted many times (less weight and more reps). You need to brun fat and build muscle.
As for how much you eat...keep one simple thing in mind...BURN MORE CALORIES THAN YOU TAKE IN.
Good luck.

what you need to do to maintain the same weight is to exchange the fat for muscle. you need to swap the carbs you are eating for lean protien, and do less cardio and more isolated weight lifting; that means more weight and less repatitions. the reason for this is simple, cardio is just that, cardio. you are bringing your heart rate up so that you are making your heart work harder. at this rate you do not burn fat. a target heart rate for burning fat is lower than that of cardio. try walking longer distances instead of running, and weight lifting with heavier weight instead of arobics. as for diet, lean beef and chicken are the best thing along with soy protien. steamed vegies and rice instead of bread. good luck to you with your goal.

it is obvious that you are eating the wrong foods,or foods and drinks that cause fatty tissue, try eating only baked or broiled meats ,veggies steamed,no bread, its always helpful to read the labels when shopping,trans-fat is bad.start looking at the way your eating, while food is necessary for everyday living,i think that most eat way too much.
