I'd definitely take her to the vets for a check up. It could be nothing though, my cat used to be tiny and then one day she was the size of a house, she's got rolls and everything! But the vet can't find anything wrong, she's obviously just big-boned...So try not to worry just yet.

My cat change into overweight besides and that i took her to the vet and he or she stated a weight-loss plan dry and moist food. Dry food it truly is not made for a indoor cat or a weight-loss plan cat food is extreme in energy and it would want to be putting on weight from that on my own. i assume she would not bypass out. I switched to a indoor cat food and that i supply her moist food and now she is going out slightly of right here and there and he or she has trimmed way down. sounds like a very diverse cat.

Been eating all the Christmas leftovers. Seriously though it could be an internal growth or something. You may want to consider getting her checked at the vets. Good Luck.

Have you actually weighed your cat or does it just look heavier?. If it just looks bigger/ heavier it could just be due to it being winter and the cat having its winter coat. Some breeds of cat really do look much larger in the winter months due to having a much thicker coat.

Maybe your neighbours are feeding her, maybe she's taking advantage of their open cat-flap.

I suppose the only way to resolve that is to go round all your neighbours to find out which ones keep cats and have catflaps and have cat food out all the time.

I wouldn't know where to take it from there.

Good luck.

Christmas over indulgence? Worms? Eating rodents as well as cat food?

It might be as simple as she is less active during the winter. If you don't think this is it, you might want to take her to the vet and get some blood work done, to make sure everything is functioning right.

it seems like when cats get older they can pack on some extra pounds. if you are concerned take your kitty to the vet.

A vet can answer this accurately. Any answers on here are pure speculation and may be unhelpful or worrying.
