I dated this guy that would only let me order from the $1 menu at McDonald's. But, if I paid he would want to go to an expensive restaurant...I told him to get the hell out of my life!!!

No I dated a guy that spent all his money on beer and gambled it all away. Not to mention he would borrow money from me and use my car all of the time. Even though he had one of his own but he was too busy spending money on other stuff to get it fixed. He had a good job. I think I would rather date a "cheap" man who saves his money rather than one who spends it like there is no tomorrow. Do you have any money of your own? You pay for your stuff and he can pay for his. That way he won't expect anything in return if you get my drift. You have to find a balance. I just would rather pay for my own meal than some guy expect me to put out when he takes me home. I have had that happen and the guy guy got mad at me. Said, "Well you slept with "Bob". Why won't you sleep with me?" Like I am a whore or something. Some guys like those mentioned above are extremely cheap, some are just not responsible, and some know how to maintian the balance. But hey some women are that way too though.

Yup. It gets really ANNOYING. My ex would always make me pay when we went out, would always take my car because he didn't want to use his gas. He wouldn't even buy me Christmas or birthday presents because he wanted to spend his money on himself.

I finally got fed up with that. Someone who is "thrifty" can be OK as long as they realize they have to pull their weight in the relationship. No one should be going broke to be with the other person.
