I should add I'm in the UK.
We were cooking the beef when we discovered the blue bits so nothing has been eaten.

Blimey everyone....I didn't ever say I wanted to sue!!! It's amazing how hoity some people can be.
If you had small children and found a foreign object in their food wouldn't you be upset?
I don't want money - I meerly wondered if I would have been entitled to a replacement and whether I should notify enviromental health....

Call the customer service department of the company that manufactured the product. They will give you a refund plus bonus coupons as they will appreciate you telling them (so that they can fix the problem and perhaps issue a product recall) and they want to keep you as a customer.

Well, if you're part of the law suit culture, you'll sue. Otherwise, pick it out, cook your beef, and move on. Just make sure it's cooked well. Your other alternative is to take the beef back to the store and show the meat manager. You will probably be given the alternative of either gettting another package of meat or getting your money back. Stuff happens. When they were grinding the meat, the guy's glove got tore. That's all.

Contact your local trading standards office first thing on Monday morning and they will tell you what to do next.
If the contamination is proven, they will probably prosecute the company or supermarket concerned.
You are not actually entitled to anything apart from a refund (but don't take the goods back if you go down the trading standards route) but most shops will give you more than that, as they understand they could have been taken to court.

That would mean they were wearing Latex gloves while handling the beef mince. The glove must have worn out a little and just broke off. At least they were not using there bare hands.

You can either return it to the shop/butcher you got it from and be given a refund or take it to enviromental health people on monday and they will look into it for you and possible sue the place it was produced at. Either way you have the right to a refund. You will get more if you get enviromental involved!

Oh my gosh! Did this damage you any way, cause this sounds a lot like the lady that sued McDonald's for having hot coffee. Come on, people make mistakes just go back to the store and talk to the manager or write the company a nice letter to inform them that their quality control is a bit lacking. Say that you would like to continue using their products but you are worried about it and I bet they send you a bunch of free samples. If not, oh well, it is not worth a lawsuit!

You've got the right to keep the glove.
I should just ring the store you bought it from and complain. Bag it all up, including the packaging, and take it back to them. I'm sure they'll want to investigate it. They should offer your money back or a replacement. If you want to be cheeky, you could ask for some kind of good-will gesture. It depends what mood you catch the manager in.
Good luck.

Don't you get fed up when people scream RIGHTS!!! over trivial things.
Take the mince back to the shop. Tell them what you found. I bet they will apologise and replace the mince. They might even offer you a refund, but they don't have to.
Or you could go to a solicitor and waste everybody's time with a spurious compensation claim.

You go to the shop where you have bought it with the product and the piece of glove and you can ask for a new one.
If you want to bother, I think that you can ask a second for free too but don't expect too much and maybe you will need to shout a little.

Take the gloves back to the manufacturer and complain that you found mince beef in them.
