If you are not a certified interpreter or translator I encourage you to do so. Next, make certain that the embassies and chancellery's know who you are and what your skills are. You would be amazed at how many documents are out there that need translating for departments of governments. While we lived overseas my husband did a lot of training of the local people. Many times translators and interpreters were in short supply. If you don't get too greedy and are a little patient you will have a good reputation and repeat clients because of it.

depends on your level of proficiency...do you really KNOW these languages? or are you simply able to communicate in them? can you write, read and speak at a close to native speaker level? in that case yes you can become an interpreter or translator, or even give private lessons at home...contrary to what most people think, translating is quite a difficult job and knowing a language is only half of it...you need to do a lot of research too, especially if you get technical texts...

You can take classes to become a certified interpreter or translator. Otherwise you could offer to tutor people in your home, either homework help for kids or one-on-one lessons for adults who want to learn a foreign language. Good luck!
