they ban me from the net as way to punish me becase their son my uncle likes to bully me and often threatens me with violence, he is a very disturbed man for example reccently he threw me on the floor for sitting in HIS chair, my grandparents constantly defend and support his actions and whilst i am able to verbally defend myself , i cannot fight three people at once so if upse their son they punish me restricting my internet is part of that

Get a hobby, or a girlfriend.

Awww...honey...I feel so bad for you! Not because you only get to use the Internet an hour a day, but because you are so lost without it. I know I am going to date myself, but...what the heck? When I was your age, there was no such thing as the Internet or cell phones or any of the high-tech stuff that today's children and teens are addicted to. We had to get together with our friends (face to face) and make our own fun. Sure, we did have Atari but we could only play that for so long before we got bored or our parents chased us out of the house. There are a million things to do without a computer. If I knew you, I could maybe suggest some things that you might like, but since I don't...I can only guess. Hang out with your friends, take a walk, play cards, play a board game, clean your room, read a book or magazine, ride your bike, go fishing, play some sports with your friends, do your homework. If you don't like any of those, maybe this is the perfect opportunity for you to find a new hobby. There's got to be something that you've always wanted to do, but just never took the time to do it. Now is your chance.

Try to look at this as a positive thing. Yeah, I know you think it sucks, but if you turn your thinking around it won't suck as much. I promise you will be a much happier person if you do so.

Whatever you do, don't let on that you are dying without the Internet. That will give your grandparents all kinds of ideas about what they should do the next time you have to be punished. They also might start to worry about you if they knew you were so lost without it.

If all else fails, you can email me. I'm a nice lady that has years of experience talking to teens that need someone to listen to them. Yes - I am a teacher. Good luck to you!

We don't know the situation so it's hard to help. There are other things to do. Read a book. You'll get so much out of it and an hour a day on the computer isn't so bad. I'm beginning to wish someone would restrict me cos I'm wasting way too much time avoiding doing the things I should be doing. A book will take you into a whole new world and is the best way to escape that I know.

oH DEAR - Check out the local library - if you are old enough.

Read a few books, you could even spend some more time on the internet, some libraries do permit access but not for games.

Get another hobby, you may find lots of ideas at the library, or check out your grandparents own bookcase, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Entertain yourself by drawing, painting or writing your own book!

Write about what interests you or what you know.

Have Fun - no need for boredom - let you own creative mind flow

Why can you not communicate with other people? Are you grounded?

I would suggest if you cannot get out to read a book, or write or talk to your grandparents. Spend time with them and then they might go back on the ban after a while!

Read. Books are awesome. Your grandparents will be thrilled - it's an old fashioned thing to do. Also write. Write about how you feel and what's going on. Diaries/journals are incredible to read years later when you realize what a dork you were when you were a kid - not that you're dorky.

Try talking (in a kind manner) to your grandparents. You did not say who you were standing up to (grandparents???, or somone else). All you can do, is hope they will see what you are trying to relay to them. If not, you will have to wait until the punishment is over. Good luck to you .

Meet real friends.

If you have none, due to your excessive use of the world wide web, join a youth club or sports team and make friends there. Real life does have its advantages, just go out and enjoy!

Cell phone, notes, hanging out, tv, friends, books, homework, food, exploring, writing, drawing, cleaning, and video games.
I think that your parents are weird, like all parents. Mine almost did the same thing. Show them that you don't need the internet. Don't fret. It gets you your internet faster : ).
Oh.
In the meantime, find out who you are as a person. Meditate. It's fun and worthwhile.

Join a running club. They have lots of social activities as well. And perhaps some young women your age will attend them. That will distract you.
