I find it harder to sing in front of people I know well (like family and close friends) than it is to sing in front of strangers.

I guess the only way to overcome that is to get out and do it. It will be hard at first, but after you do it a few times, it will get better and better.

never be emmbarrased to perform anything. you have got a life and its your life. you and others share the same position in this earth. so think that evryone is your friend and with full of confidence perform.
