Hi Destiny_alight!!
Keep a check on her internal body temperature (use a digital rectal thermometer and do regular readings) As long as there is no rise in temperature to indicate a fever, and there is no heavy discharge from her vagina, then she is okay being so quiet.
A rise in temperature to 'fever' level (103 or above) means she is in trouble internally and this is when you must get her professional help. A drop in temperature to 100 degrees or lower means she may be aborting another one.

Vaginal Discharge - this is the subject you must study carefully.
A small amount of an odorless, clear, mucous, stringy type discharge is quite normal.
Yellowish discharge is cause for a little more concern. The yellowish color could represent a yeast problem somewhere, or it could indicate a problem getting ready to occur. Do a temperature check, then notify your vet of the discharge and the temperature reading.
Greenish colored, or muddy looking, or old blood looking, and usually a foul smelling discharge is cause for real concern. This kind of discharge tells you there is a pup on the way (if not out already). This is the 'tricky' one to handle. Most veterinarians will want you to bring the female into the clinic right away. Wait a while.

Diarrhea, or very loose stools, on the due date indicates simply that the body is cleaning itself out and preparing for the birth.

Inverted Nipples - Get a bowl of clean, warm water and a soft cloth or gauze pad, then massage the inverted nipple out, and gently hold it out for a few minutes. You most likely will find a paste type buildup in under the nipple and this should be gently washed clean.

PREPARE FOR THE BIRTH :
1. WHELPING BOX
2. EXTRA BLANKETS AND SHEETS
3. HEATING PADS
4. SMALL PUPPY SIZE CRATE
5. BABY BOTTLES
6. BOTTLE NIPPLES
7. NASAL ASPIRATOR
8. BABY SCALES
9. FINGERNAIL CLIPPERS
10. COTTON BALLS, TISSUES, AND PAPER TOWELS

If you distrust CALL YOUR VETERINARIAN IMMEDIATELY - night or day, you cannot wait.

I would call the vet and have her checked if she hasnt started having puppies 24 to 36 hrs. after the lowest temp. drop as their could be a problem. the office call cost is well worth the peace of mind. Do you have a friend who is experienced at puppy birth and could be with you to help? She should progress from prelabor to hard labor in 2 to 12 hrs.The first coctractions may hardly be noticeably, just a mere tensing of the abdominal muscels. the female may shiver and shake violently, her teeth may chatter. between contractions she may lie quietly, pant heavely, or scratch frantically at her nest. As contractions grow stronger you can see side and abdominal muscels contract, and soon the ***** will strain as though she were having a bowel movement. She may cry out in pain. This is hard labor. She may have a number of constractions spaced ten or fifteen minutes apart or longer,or two or three close together, resulting in a puppy almost immediately. When the water bag breaks the first poppy is in the birth canal. The water bag serves the purpoise of dilating the passage and when it finally breaks the fluid lubricates the passage making the way easier for the puppy.A puppy generally appears withen 15 minutes.More than 2 hours in hard labor without a puppy may mean trouble.I always have my vet. on noyice when Im having pups and never have an unattened birth. I always try to have someone with me for moral support in case I need some help.Sure hope this helps and good luck with your new babies.Any baby is Gods opinion that the world should go on.

Hang on in there if she is due today she maybe in labour for some hours, you will know when she is ready because she will start to pant a lot this in normal keep her comfortable and when she goes outside watch her because she may decide that is where she wants to have them just encourage her back inside don't force her into her box. If you have to, stay up with her all night. If you can feel the pups moving that is a good sign let nature take its course. When she has whelped don't stop her from eating the afterbirth this is natural. She may give birth to them all very quick or she may go hours between. Good luck

It sounds like she is close. The discharge from her vagina, the constant going to the bathroom, and swollen nipples are all signs of impending birth. Normally they will empty out thier system before giving birth and if you squeeze (gently) the nipple and milk comes out she is very close. I would keep a close eye on her and if she's already digging in her box, then I'd say she's looking for a place to birth the pups. Watch her and if in a day or two still no pups, phone the vet.

yes i would say withing a few hours she will have her pups if she keeps trying to go into the garden and pushing as if she needs to go to toilet then watch her she will have her first pup then they will follow at around about half hour intervals if not sooner so don't let her go in the garden on her own my ***** had seven pups and they are 3 weeks old today and all doing fine good luck and prepare your bed down stairs as you will need to watch both mother and pups

yes and then after that she lays on her side with her front legs up and pants. She also stares at me, sometimes they vomit before whelping and sometimes they cry my pug stares at me and watches my every move and I have to be in the room with her to have one.
