Well, it instructs faithful muslims to kill infidels - nonbelievers in Islam - over and over again. Special emphasis is placed on fighting "the people of the Book", the book being the Bible, which means Jews and Christians. According to the Koran, lying, intimidation, and killing are not only acceptable when used toward infidels for the purposes of expanding Islam, but all muslims have a standing order to do such things, to carry on jihad throughout their lives.
Those who die in jihad, giving their lives for Allah to kill infidels in his name, will be rewarded in Paradise with rooms full of gold and pearls and riches, in which they will have sex with 72 virgins that will be given to them. According to Islam. This is why Islam is able to dupe so many young people with their whole lives ahead of them to be suicide bombers.
So in other words, while not all Muslims are terrorists, the ones that ARE are being good Muslims, according to the Koran and Mohammed's example (he was an outlaw and and raider who spread his new religion by the point of the sword, butchering many and committing all sorts of atrocities.) Those "Muslims" who are tolerant and peaceful toward other religions, while much preferable to hostile Muslims, are not being good Muslims. Just better people.

I think you will find that there are far more verses in the Qur'an advocating peace but the Qur'an and it's interpretation have been corrupted. Initially there were many versions of the Qur'an recorded by memory and being written on whatever was to hand. Several of Muhammad's companions are believed to have written down part of it.Ubay bin Kab a secretary to the prophet had a version containing additional text and was used in Syria prior to the 'official' version of Uthman.
The discrepancies between versions lead to conflict between Muslims in Iraq and Syria. Thus In the 7th Century Uthman collated the different versions and produced the standard text as it exists today.
Other authorities hold that the much of the Qur'an was compiled much later in response to Jewish and Christian voices. The earliest proven copy of the Qur'an dates from the 9th Century which supports this view.
Furthermore, Muslims scholar's have ruled that the violent verses over rule the peacefully ones despite being fewer in number.

The Koran or Quran does NOT inspire terrorism. It is the blind hate produced by people within the terrorist faction. Some children are raised to hate. Hate results to terrorism.
In fact, the Koran preaches love and respect. I'm a Christan and I know this.
Terrorism may stem from any religion, providing that there's hate.
The terrorists use a religion as a reason to kill others. This is terrorism, or fear.
Terrorism is usually controlled by people with power. They don't necessarily respect the religion at all. Other people follow blindly.
Don't forget. Religions can be modified. They originally did not have violence. It's like the bible. Religions texts stem and dilute.
Christians had the Crusades in history.

Pretty much each religion has some history of violence. It involves dominion or authority. It does seem as though Islam & the Koran invoke more than their share of violence, as even the Shiites & Suni's are at war now.
Again, this all goes back to Scripture; in Genesis 15 & 16, about Abram being promised a son. The son of the promise was Isaac, while the son of the flesh was Ishmael. These two sons have been at war (sibling rivalry) ever since then. They have grown up into the descendents of Israel & Arabia.

The biggest supporters of terrorism are the American and British governments closely followed by the vatican and other right wing religious extremists like you. Many more people have been killed by terrorists supported by the Americans than all other terrorist actions put together just look at the Ireland, Isreal, Italy to name a few.

It does not Inspire terrorism. Islam is the religion of peace. There are some extremist out there who mis interpret these writings and decide that if they go out and blow themselves up with 100 others they will go to heaven, this is totally incorrect, if you read the Quran you will find it it very similar to the bible, it has some of the same stories including that of jospeh, noah and moses

Yeah...Christians are the epitome of peace....
In case you have failed to notice, there are two sides to the fighting -- the side that has the oil and the side that doesn't.
Innocent people are dying on BOTH sides. Both sides believe that they are right.
The Koran doesn't inspire terrorism. Sick people take good things and make them bad. Religion is always the excuse regardless of which side you are on.
Wake up. You are a victim of the media and your own government's brainwashing.
For the record, I am not a Muslim. I refuse to buy into the rhetoric of either side. Causing harm to others is bad. The religion is incidental.

The Koran is not about terrorism, it has been made to seem that way, many terrorist atrocities have actually been carried out by their own country's government, which are then blamed on the Muslims to create a divide, the creat hatred. This is what western governments and country's want, they don't like the Muslims, they don't like Asia, why do you think the Muslims are, now, so angry? -they're thought of as terrorist's! when they haven't done anything wrong!
