How is it that people get on here and sound off about Iraq, yet know very little about what is really going on.

If the war in Iraq was truly just Iraqi's fighting Iraqi's I would probably agree with your question, however it is not.

The Islamic jihad has chosen Iraq to be the place, for now, to draw a line in the sand. This is a place where they can confront the infidel, the Americans who provide aide and comfort to their other worst enemy, Israel.

Recently, Iranian advisors were captured in Iraq. These are people sent in by Ahmadinejad of Iran to advise the Sunni's who fight Americans, along with their insurgents from other middle eastern countries, on how to best combat the American efforts to stabilize Iraq.

This war is hardly just an internal Iraqi war, The Islamic jihad has declared a war against the infidel, that's us. Now, the question is, does the nation of sheep (the US) want the battle on Arab turf or US turf, because if you want the troops to come home, keep ranting your collective rhetoric in concert with Reid, Durbin Obama, Pelosi and the rest of the liberal scum that slide in under the door, because it's a given, we will see another 9/11 on our turf, using their train of liberal thought.

Iraqis should be taking control of their OWN destiny and fighting their own battles.

Bush will not bring the troops home because his EGO is at stake. He insists that he is right, even though the REST of the WORLD knows he is wrong.

Without getting into a lot of political discussion, it seems that GWB has backed himself into a corner; he CANNOT win this war, he CANNOT take control of the OIL, there WERE no weapons of mass destruction, and NOW Mr. Bush is trying to save his political "face" by "devising a new strategy" --which means "save face for George Bush".

UNFORTUNATELY his plan to gain control of the oil resources of Iraq has created an international disaster and there is NO easy solution to repair the damage.
The EGO of one man has caused the unnecessary death of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people.
How sad for humanity. Americans should be mad as hell; their reputation worldwide has been severely and possibly permanently damaged.
Impeachment may well be appropriate.

The fight is over the oil, not the Iraqis. If the USA doesn't stay put in Iraq then that oil can and will be used to control what and what not the USA can do around the world. Those battleships need a ton of oil to go one mile, if they cannot move then what good are they? Bush thinks that if the USA moves out the oil will be open to any takers especially those that he doesn't want to see in control of it, like the Iranian's. It never was about weapons of mass destruction or Saddam, it was the oil.

I agree 100 percent. Democracy is not a gift to be given. It can not be installed. Democracy in Iraq must be won by the Blood of those that are willing to die for it. Not our service members blood.
Over 450,000 Iraqis have fled the civil war in Iraq and went to Jordan. Draft them. Iraq is about oil, money and power, it has been about that from the start. The Shi'ites want the power and oil money, the Sunni want the power and oil money and that civil war will not end til one side gets what they want. BTW, The Saudis have said they will back the Sunni minority. Who do you think will run out of money first?

" He also said that a couple of months ago, that if everybody in the world disagreed with him, he would sort of stay with Laura and his dog, and that that would be that."

I just read this quote in an interview with Justin A. Frank, M.D., in BuzzFlash, in an interview about Bush's psychological make-up. I think this pretty much sums it up.

Oil is secondary.
Emperor Bush's daddy was humiliated by Saddam (Kuwait) and this is payback time.
(Found any weapons of mass destruction yet?)

While I am no supporter of the war, we broke it, so we have to fix it, that's just the way it is.
