Thank you for providing the links, because I might not have believed you otherwise. WOW. Yes, bits of the world are definitely going mad (or just continuing to be so)--and we're not helping when we suggest that orthodox Israelis are part of the "Arab" world or should have learned something from the Rosa Parks incident. People in Israel are supposed to know from Rosa Parks? The world is much bigger than we are often taught... although the Grand Canyon issue would make it seem that we're not supposed to know that. *sigh*

Over in the Arab world women are not important enough, so they can beat her, and get away with it. They still live in the past, and that is not the way God intended us to be. I don't know anything on the other story.

No the world has not gone mad...its just repeating history. Rosa Parks refused to move from her seat as well. One day people will learn that the phrase "If we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it", is true.

I don't like estimates either. Neither side should be allowed until they can prove beyond a resonable doubt their contentions.

As for the beating, your link didn't come up so I can't comment.

Their Jews what do you expect? And that woman should have just done as she was told. Doesn't she know that women are seen as a Curse to Jews?

I know that people of similar religions yet with slightly different interpretations (Shiite/Suni), (Christian/Catholic), (Catholic/Episcopal) often feel their way is the only right way, & violence is the seemingly natural outcome.
I'm not saying I approve; I'm just saying it seems to be the typical way of handling it.
