when we first started dating it was the "let me take you here, there and everywhere" type of thing....now as time has passed ive slowly realized that my boyfriend is a HUGE home body, instead of going to a movie with some friends he likes to stay home and rent them, dinner? its ethier home or at the same old places, i express my opinon and he listens, and he gives and takes, but NOT with a smile. basically its his way or he is not happy about it and he's going to let you know! I love him, but we are a very young couple and want to go out WITH him and do fun and exciting things....suggestions on the situation? has anyone else had this problem?

If you want to change him, you never will:-( I have been married to a home body for 6 years now, and when we started dating, I found out then and tried to change him. It did not work. All you can do is do your own thing when going out, just always let him know where you are and what you are doing, that way he can always trust you! I look at it this way, if he is not going out with his friends, you know that he is not doing anything wrong and you always know where he is:-) GOOD LUCK !

This may come as a surprise to you, but some women really like the saty-at-home, rent a movie and cuddle kind of guy. Many complain about the opposite, a guy that loves going out and socializing, often with too many people.
If there is an uncomfortable difference, it may be time to think about a change of boyfriends. You probably have a friend who would gladly trade.
All young people do not want to go out for fun.

I understand how you feel I am in the same situation with the difference that im 500 miles away from my boyfriend but i made my decision that i wanted to go to college. Long distance relationships can work. Let me tell you this, yes there will be some problems, dicussions, and hard times but everything is possible never give up on soemthing you really want. You both will need patience, understanding, honesty, trust each other, and most importantly great communication. I am a freshman in college and it was a really hard thing for me to leave to college and leave my boyfriend. If you really love each other you both will manage to go throught it at least thats what my boyfriend and I believe. Never give up.

I had the same thing happen with my first boyfriend. After a while, he just wanted to stay in and watch movies or play video games.

If you are having this problem, you can't fix it without actually talking to him about it. It sounds like you just have two totally different personalities, which is fine. You need to find the balance.

You can compromise by agreeing to go out on some nights and staying in on others. So long as you're spending time with your boyfriend, that's what really matters, right?

Let me guess here. He took you places, and now that he doesn't, you're unhappy... Ever taken him places? You're a couple, and he's shown you what he knows. Take some time, show him what you like to do. If he can't try your interests, then what's the point of a relationship?

I have been there and a t first its ok but then you will start to resent him..you are young you should be going out and enjoying yourself..not staying at home..you need to find yourself a new boyfriend...dont waste your time on him..you will regret it.

Maybe he doesn't like going out all the time. Maybe he's been working all day and just wants to relax.

If you don't like it, dump him, and find yourself a good frat boy at a nightclub somewhere.

sounds like me. You should probably mention that to him. Actually Idk, see going out to movies is nice, but to guys, its way easier to just rent them and watch at home, more comfortable too, not to mention way cheaper. I guess that didnt answer anything. i guess try going out with another couple. oh, you could have like, a game night where you play board games, that way he doesnt have to leave his habitat lol.(guys really like risk and monopoly) oh that game guesstures is hilarious. Idk it sounds like he's not gonna change his ways much, maybe you should dump him.
