I'm 17 and have not yet had a boyfriend or kissed anyone. People have told me not to worry about it because there's plenty of time and to a certain degree I agree because I'm trying to concentrate on school. Is this normal?

Hey - who is to say what is normal and what isn't? I was feeling the same as you at 17 and all I wanted to do was fit in with my friends and do what they where doing, but at the same time I wanted to do well at school.

In the end I decided to concentrate on my studies and once school was finished I then had the time to start meeting new people and getting into relationships and stuff.

So don't sweat it - as the old cliche goes, you will find someone when the time is right.

You are young - enjoy your life and go with the flow.

Hope it all works out for you.

Yes, it is normal. Thirteen year old girls having sex is abnormal and out of control. You may have a life with fewer problems than most teenagers. At least you won't be committing suicide. Sex is so intimate that young people need to wait until they are grown enough to handle all the responsibility that comes with having sex.

Your mother should be so proud of you.

It is great!!!! you are in con trole of you future!!! Take a look around at this site and see all the 17 year olds that are worried they are pregnant or have STD's. You will go so much farther in life!! You are working hard and getting to know yourself, you will know who you are before you tie yourself to someone else.

honey, I applaud you, at such a young age you are such a strong woman already, don't let anyone take that away from you, your parents must be so proud of you in your accomplishments. keep doing what you are doing and when your ready for a relationship you will know... you are young and have your whole life ahead of you, plenty of time for romance. once again BRAVO!

Perfectly ... Dont fret it ...

When you are ready and available to be in a relationship I expect you will have all the opportunity you need in which to explore this aspect of yourself.

In the meantime just enjoy what your doing ...

yesss.....I don't really pay attention to relationships, I am more about me, my goals and money. Your just doing what you got do. If it comes let come. Its all within its time. But do what you got do, don't worry about that, because school is a lot more important than any silly relationship.
