I`ve asked this question before, but I seriously want a good answer- I`m desperate! This guy(one year younger than me in highschool) is so cool but I feel so lame around him. We`ve had good encounters, but I recently have been having bad ones. I think he thinks that I`m wierd!! In social situations I`m shy, and no matter how many tips I get about shyness, I just can`t break out of my shell. I truly am a cool, funny person, but nobody can see this!
Anyway, I rarely have time to talk with my crush. I want to start a relationship with him, hang out, stuff like that without making him feel uncomfortable. I believe he would feel scared of me if I asked him because of my ackwardness. Should I write him a note giving him my email address or something?
This boy is friendly and talks to girls, so I don`t consider him shy. He did go to a dance with a girl sometime before. Anyway, how do I deal with this problem?? How do I really become friends with him and get him to see the real me??

Once you get talking with him for a bit you wont feel so shy and awkward around you..he probably feels exactly the same as you..give him your addy and chat online first..that would probably be a lot easier.

Well Shyness isn't that much of a problem since your already talking to him, coming from a guys experience i'd say give him your email or phone number and start talking a lil more not in person. keep talking to him till u feel comfortable and then ask him to hang out somewhere, after having talked to him for a while he wont find it odd u want to see him more and then it'll be easier to get close.

I had the same problem in high school too. Had a huge crush on this guy, but went all wierd around him.I finally figured out a simple way to resolve my 'shyness only around him' thing.

I just be myself. Happy and friendly. I started out by talking to the people around me when he's around, then it continued to him joining along in the conversation. Waving and saying 'hi' when I pass by him.Smiling at him if our eyes met.

It all went naturally. We got on really well. But I prefered us as close friends instead once I know that we just don't match. OK for you?

Just be yourself. I found that by just being yourself, you'll attract a lot more. Good luck! ^_^

maybe invite him to hang with you at the mall, arcade, movies etc.maybe a couple times hanging together will make you feel a little more comfortable. My husband is 5 years younger than me. So dont let the age thing bother you.

i had the same problem once too. i knew this girl i really liked back in highschool. i thought of her every day. she was one of teh popular kids and i wasn't. so one day i got up the nerve to ask for he phone number. surprisingly, she gave it too me. we started talking on the phone a little bit and then we became best friends. few years later, our graduation dance come and i asked her to go with me. she said yes. after that dance, we dated at the same college. one day i took her to a fancy resturant and i asked her to be my wife. we've been happily married for 5 years now. ok, so not all love stories end up like this but it may end up like that for you and the guy. just ask for his email or something. could happen. take care now!!

just walk up to him and say come with me(or 'can i talk to you in private') if he likes you he will follow, take him to a place where you are not intimidated by the other cool kids and ask him if he will go with you any where like a school dance or movies or something.
