You can't make someone stop snoring...believe me, I live with it too! I've been married for 15 years to a snorer...a very loud snorer! I've been woken up from a deep sleep almost jumping thru the ceiling!! I've shook him, nudged him, kicked him, punched him screamed at him...etc....NOTHING helps! You can try breath right nasal strips which I found makes the snoring a little less loud and a little more bearable. You can also try ear plugs for yourself.
Good luck!

tell him to find the most comfortable position to lie in, tell him to lie to his sides rather than facing directly the ceiling.
if you can browse through the net find some pranayama lessons which are a part of yogic excersicing and helps then clear the breathing tracks.
cheese this really works go with step 1
if it never works go with step 2
ok this is just for fun:
my friend used to snore badly, she never let me sleep , so what i did was, one night i kept hitting her butt, and waking her every time she snored,, for her sleep was of first priority so she keep breathing slowly there after

That is a ggod question, same problem here,,, Ha HA, this is funny, i had some of those breathright strips, went to go stick it on his nose one night, got it just right in my hands, went very slowly to put it on his nose and i must have tickled his nose but he went to scratch (still asleeep) and it went in the bed somewhere, and i looked and looked for that strip, finally a week later i found it at the foot of the bed on the comforter, lol had to been there it was to funny. And i had a time getting that strip of the covers....
