My dog loves to sit in the floor and hold his head back while I viguriously scratch his neck? Does it just feel good or is this some power trip he has over me?

Yes it feels good to them just like rubbing or scratching their stomachs and ears. With my dog, he loves for me to rub his ears.

My dog loves to have his chin scratched and have a good rubbing behind his ears.

No one owns a dog, they own you.
It is a power trip....lol

Two reasons--

1) That feels soooo good!

2) You're paying attention to ME!

I think its because they can't scracth there. My dog loves getting his head scratched, well his leg isn't long enough to scratch his head.
