My son is very good and I am wondering how old he has to be to play in pool tournaments and in the International Pool Tournament (IPT)?

Where does it talk about age groups on that website. I have been looking there for so long but I havnt found anything about age groups. Also, when I click on questions and answers it saws that that page is under construction.

IPT has age groups just like almost every sport out there. Search the link below to find age groups and entries.

My advice would be to make sure that your son really is tournament quality before you sign him up for anything. Take him to a local all-ages hall and let him play on different styles of tables. Once he is ready, contact the owner of the pool hall. Almost all owners know about IPT, but because there really is no set age limit they can't tell you exactly how to go about it. Hope this helps!

In our league you must be at least 18 years old to play in the league and tournaments (Canada). In the APA it is 21. I think because most events take play in bars or casinos. Our league started a junior league for kids just for fun to start teaching the basics.
