Word of mouth is great too. Tell everyone you know. Your family, friends, neighbors, people at church, bank clerk, hair stylist, mail carrier. There's always parents out there looking for reliable people to watch their children. And, if you come recommended by someone you know, that's a bonus.

Do you have any friends with children. I found my greatest babysitter because she was one of my friends and had decided to start an inhome daycare at the same time I decided to go back to work. Do check out your state's regulations for daycare first. Some states require more than others, even if you're only watching one.
