ignore him, don't do all those things you do, after he gets over his little temper tantrum he'll see the error of his ways and will like you or he'll just find a new owner

The sad truth is that Dalmatians are not really a good pet with rare exceptions.Too bad about all those 101 Dalmation movies! The finest pet quality dog is a Standard Poodle. They don't shed, are hypoallergenic, the SMARTEST dog on earth. Research it, they are everything you have ever wanted in a dog. They are to the canine world as an Arabian horse is to the equine world.

It sounds like you baby the dog too much. It sees you as an equal and your parents as the leaders of the pack. Dogs do not love, they look at different members of the pack, or family as dominants, equals or subordinates. You need to show him that you are a leader also. Try watching Cesar Milan's Dog Whisper on National Geographic Channel. It taught us alot. Good Luck.

1. Try taking him/her to obedience classes, which will help your bonding with him/her.
2. From experience I would also try a muzzle for his/her biting in and out of the house, 24/7.
3. At some cases, she could have a problem and doesn't trust you. Take him/her to the vet.
If you do all things listed your dog will be a non-biting friend to not just your parents but you too.

Dalmations are very snippy dogs and once they decide who they like and who they don't its very very hard to change their mind. You are doing everything you can such as walking him, and providing for him. He probably doesn't appriciate the meds or the baths though! Have you tried treats. dog treats, hot dog pieces, and almost all dogs LOVE cheese. Is he food agressive? If he is treats and such won't work. Because he is a dalmation your options are actually limited. They are very stubborn and set in their ways and mind set. My advise is to try bribes! Toys, Treats, . . . . . . . Don't push him to hard though, he will resent you even more if you push to hard, respect his boundries!

1) Talk to your vet, ask him/her to check the dog for possible ear infection or hip dysplacia that maybe he hurts when you touch him. (he tolerates you giving him a bath?)
2) Maybe try sitting down on the floor, down to his height, and letting him come to you. Dal's are alpha dogs, if you become the passive one he may accept you as a friend. Right now it seems he is tolerating you as a care-giver but does not trust you.
3) call a Dal breeder or a dog trainer in general and ask them.
biting you is not a good thing !

sounds like your dog is spoilt rotten, has had zero discipline, and sees himself as a more important pack member in your family than you are! ask you parents to sign you up for obedience classes with a dog trainer, you being the one to do the handling. some strong lessons for both of you would be a solution here. as for the biting... if it doesn't stop, and it gets worse, especially after training, there are other options i would consider.... castration would be a start.

Your dog views your parents as the pack leaders and you as a follower of him. When you pet him he sees it as an "insult" because you are lower in the pack then him, and he snaps at you. You need to learn how to be dominent. I suggest checking out Cesar Millan's stuff (a link to clips from his show are here http://www.dogpsychologycenter.com/dogwhisperer/showclips.php ). Good luck with everything!

You just have to let do whatever he wants to do. If he dosen't want anything to do with you, there's not much you can do. My dad had a dog and she only liked his sisters except during thunerstorms. He will come to to you when he is ready.
