No. It would be better to go to China or Thailand, which have so much more to do and see.

I live in Korea and have run out of fun things to do, which was never the case when I lived in Japan (a good destination, but hard to do cheaply).

The places I loved seem to be ruined by overdevelopment. It's not that cheap anymore either.

The level of Anti-Americanism has increased starting in 2006.

I have had so many cases of food poisoning that I only eat out at 2 restaurants.

Korea is a great place to go! I loved getting on the subway and getting off at a stop I had no idea where I was. Lots of cheap shopping, good food, nice people...if you look confused someone will ask if they can help you.

i lived in korea and the people HATED americans. well, 95% of them did and the other 5% clung to you to practice their english. good luck getting a friggin cab if you don't have black hair and a slender build.

if you want fun, go to thailand. it's A LOTcheaper, there is a lot more to do and the travel between cities is very convenient and cheap. i have been to thailand 3 times. i will never return to korea :P

I have been to Korea before; enjoyed every minute of it. People were very polite to Americans, I felt very welcome there. Transportation was reliable. Enjoyed the scenery. Stories about bad food experiences were overly exaggerated. I had a great time.

If you can't speak Korean very well, it may be a little hard...but the scenery is great!
