Cheese does freeze well, HOWEVER typical nacho cheese is not exactly cheese. It is mostly other "products". I am not knocking it! It is delicious, but you will have separation issues among the content between the oils and other ingredients.

All is not lost though. As was mentioned before, it usually keeps at room temp (if unopened) or in the fridge (if opened - to slow the ability of bacteria to grow) for a very long time. You'd be amazed at the shelf life.

Also, don't just use it for nachos. Why not as a topping for tacos? Mexican casseroles? Chili? Pretty much anything you would melt cheddar on. There are also some great soup recipes you can use it in.

Just remember, Nacho cheese is a cheese PRODUCT, not actually cheese. As such it needs to be treated differently.

Can You Freeze Nacho Cheese

Yes you can freeze it but some things including cheese lose their consistency in the freezer. A better idea is to find a friend to share it with. Or if you know someone with children ask them if they would want the rest for a movie night with their children and a nachos and cheese sauce snack-this way none is wasted and you have done a good deed. Take some to work and leave it as a snack in the break room/kitchen for coworkers. That is always a treat.

I love GFS, Sams and Costco and have often shared the excess with others who i know would not normally buy the item because it is not a priority in their home. This is also great because sometimes they sell items that no one else does!

Hope this helps

yes you can definitely. I freeze this everyday. I use a plastic container with an air tight lid. It will stay good up to 2 months this way. When you defrost it place the container in a dish of boiling water to loosen the edges. Now place the frozen cheese in a pot with about an 1/2 in. water simmer and stirring constantly. when it is no longer frozen you will have to whisk it because it will have separated because it has been frozen. Do this on the stove bring to a slow boil. then dip away. be carefull not to burn.

No cheese freezes well. Find a few friends who would like to split the gallon with you.

The cheese can be frozen but the texture will change, so I would recommend not freezing it. Try an airtight container.

You probably could, but why would you want to? Check the label and call the manufacturer... I'd suggest a freezer safe foodsaver bag.
