I was out with my boyfriend on my birthday and one of my old school friends called me up to say Happy birthday and all. I talked to him and I laughed at his jokes and sounded really normal and I thought he's pretty nice he still remembers me after all those years. Anyway, point is, my boyfriend got really upset. He was like..why did you have to be so sweet to him.. He said that it made him jealous. I explained that my school friend was just tryina be nice and it meant nothing so my bf was like.. well I know rationally its alright but it still made him feel bad !! Why was he that upset?

Normally, everyone has a tendency to be jealous. However, some people overdo it. Try to get in control of the situation, because if you think that you're right, then you have to stand up for it. If there is REALLY no reason for him to be jealous, then tell him. If he still insists on being jealous, then maybe that's already an obsession and that's not normal.

He said it himself, he was jealous. Insecure? Probably. Keep an eye on the jealousy thing it can get tedious. Really insecure guys can be jealous about even a look. If that happens you'll need to rethink the relationship.

Maybe because the two of you seems so happy and it seems like the two of you are so comfortable with each other that it looks like the two of you seems good together and make a great couple instead of the two of you. That make him jealous, i think.

He likes and is afraid he might lose you. Check your caller ID before answering your phone. If its a guy friend,call him back later.

your boyfriend is insecure. there is nothing you can do to change that except get a new boyfriend.
