Absolutely not. I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as you love him, there should be no problem at all. If this is an issue that people like to point out to you, tell them to get lost. Never let the words of others affect your own happiness.

Its okay if he's shorter than you, PROVIDED that you do not mind that in the least place at all. But actually, if i were you, i would err..well i won't like the idea that my man is shorter than me by 5 cm as that's pretty significant. You can probably advise him casually that he could do some jumping and consume more calcium-rich foodstuff like milk and cheese. And yes, play basketball. It's not only fun (from what i see cos i have phobia of ballgames), but also helps him to grow. If the worst has come to worst, then ask him to wear platforms on your wedding day :P
