Acrobat Reader will let you read the files to edit them you need Acrobat the full version. There are different levels I have Professional which allows you to do almost anything you want to do. Reader is extremely limited, but it is a small program that they can send out for free so people can use internet pdfs easily.

You have to have Adobe Acrobat, the full software package, to be able to edit a PDF file. It's very expensive, so don't look for it free.

Try www.nuance.com for an inexpensive alternative to popular, but expensive products that can do these things. Their PDF converter might be your product.

Adobe Acrobat.. but make sure you have the full version. The free versions are to enable "reading" only files.
